Coldplay are offering fans a free taste-test of their new album, ‘Viva La Vida’, with the British band giving away the first single over the internet for free, for a period of one week.

A message posted on the band’s website encourages fans to download the song, ‘Violet Hill’, for free. The message reads:

“From Tuesday 12.15pm UK time for one week only you can come here to download a free copy of a new song called Violet Hill”

The band also announced that they will be playing free shows at London’s Brixton Academy on June 16 and Madison Square Garden, New York, on June 23 with more details to come.

Coldplay’s new album, ‘Viva La Vida’, will be launched in June.
