Ellen DeGeneres Joking About Bridal Registry

Ellen DeGeneres has been forced to deny a joke she made in a statement about California’s Supreme Court ruling, that the ban on same-sex mariage be overturned.
In a comment about the decision, DeGeneres said, "I’m thrilled that the California supreme court overturned the ban on gay marriage. I can’t wait to get married. We all deserve the same rights, and I believe that someday we’ll look back on this and not allowing gays to marry will seem as absurd as not allowing women to vote."
She adds, "P.S. I’m registered at Crate & Barrel," a U.S. retailer.
However, TMZ.com reports that DeGeneres has denied that the bridal registry has been opened with her partner Portia De Rossi, after someone "thought it would be funny to actually register in the couple’s name."
According to the site, the couple "want to make sure that everyone knows that they are not registered - anywhere."
