Home » Fall Out Boy Plan Another Antarctica Attempt

After narrowly missing out on being the first band to ever play on all seven continents in under nine months, Fall Out Boy has made plans to stage a bigger and better attempt at getting their names in the Guiness Book Of Records.
The band tried to break the record last week, but had to throw in the towel when bad weather in Antarctica prevented them from flying to their final performance venue.
However, the band has decided that they want to make a second attempt, and this time they are planning on taking some other bands along for the ride.
"We're going to make this happen. And we're going to do it first," drummer Andy Hurley explained to MTV News.
"We got so close, and I'm not the kind of person who'd bail on this. I like the adventure of doing something crazy, and this new plan is super crazy."
He continues, "The thing about this trip was that there was always a chance it might not happen — [we said we were] 'attempting to set a world record' — but we're not going to attempt anything the next time. We're just gonna do it."
Bassist Pete Wentz wrote on the bands official website that, "Things could be far worse and we had a great time hanging out with each other. If anything this has made us more determined to come up with ideas and take them to completion."
