Former couple Hugh Grant and Liz Hurley have won £58,000 in damages against a photographic agency after paparazzi took photos of the pair and her husband while at a resort in the Maldives.

The duo filed a suit against Big Pictures (UK) Ltd and the French-based Eliot Press with their rep, Laura Tyler, telling the court that, "It has been most upsetting for (them) to have their privacy invaded by these (organizations)."

Photographs of Grant, Hurley and Arun Nayar were published in the UK’s Mail on Sunday and News of the World last October with the trio accepting the damages for invasion of privacy and a public apology from the agencies.
