US television network The CW announced on Saturday (May 10) that Jennie Garth has signed on to reprise her role of Kelly Taylor in the new series spin-off of the 90s television hit, ‘90210′.

Garth, who spent 10 years on the show, was rumored to be returning to the zip code that made her a household name, after she pulled out of a pilot for the new series ‘My Best Friend’s Girl’ in April.

A statement from the network revealed that Garth’s character, Kelly Taylor, will be a guidance counselor at West Beverly High.

The CW hinted that others from the original series may be set to return, saying that Garth is "the first [original] cast member to reprise her role."
