Reports in the British press over the weekend that claim Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson are engaged are false, with her rep blaming the confusion on a new movie she’s shooting.

Gossip columns lit up with the news that the pair were set to marry after Hudson was photographed wearing a diamond ring while filming in Boston.

"She’s definitely not engaged," the actresses rep informed Usmagazine.com. "She’s shooting a movie called ‘Bride Wars’, which explains the ring." 

Wilson’s rep also confirmed to the magazine that the wedding rumors are not true.
