Lindsay Lohan’s sister Ali has come to her defense, saying that online reports of a romance between Lohan and her close friend Samantha Ronson are "pathetic" and that they are "just friends."

The older Lohan has recently been romantically linked to her gal-pal, with some gossip sites using a photo of Ronson with a hickey as "proof" of a relationship.

However, Ali has denied that he sister is dating Ronson, telling Extra, "They’re best friends. They’re just friends. It’s pathetic what people say."
