Madonna has finally released the name of her new album and has set a release date for the much-hyped release, with the Material Girl’s rep announcing that the new album will be called ‘Hard Candy’, and not ‘Licorice’ as previously reported.
EW.com got the scoop from the Madonna’s representative, Liz Rosenberg, who announced the new album will be called ‘Hard Candy’, not ‘Licorice’ as was claimed by a US radio announcer in early December.
"She loves candy," Rosenberg explains.
"It’s about the juxtaposition of tough and sweetness, or as Madonna so eloquently expressed, ‘I’m gonna kick your ass, but it’s going to make you feel good.’"
‘Hard Candy’, described by insiders as ‘Madonna goes hip-hop’, will be released on April 29′ and features production from Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, Pharrell Williams and Nate "Danja" Hills (Britney Spears).
The first single, a duet with Timberlake called ‘Four Minutes’, will be released prior to the album toward the end of March.
