The media has been trying to pick holes in the celebrity friendship between Victoria Beckham and Katie Holmes, but Beckham is having none of it - and has taken the unprecedented step of denying a rumor about a rift between the pair.

Reports have suggested the Holmes put the brakes on the friendship, with Showbiz Spy saying she is "annoyed" that Beckham is choosing to spend most of her time with new friends Eva Longoria Parker and Kate Beckinsale. 

Additionally, it’s been claimed that Holmes and her husband, Tom Cruise, were not invited to Beckham’s dinner, held at Eva Longoria Parker’s ‘Beso’ restaurant last week.

The Beckham’s don’t usually answer to the rumor mill, however, her representative has denied any reports of a rift, saying, "They all had a drink together, Tom and Katie and David and Victoria were all out for dinner together last Friday."
